Q : Eligibility to apply for the Post
A : • The applicants must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility conditions for the post. Before applying for a post, candidates are advised to satisfy themselves about their eligibility. Please refer the University Notification, eligibility criteria, Qualifications, Roster Points and other details. • The applications received for the posts of Assistant Professor shall be scrutinized for recommending the applicants to be called for interview and the eligibility for the posts of Assistant Professor shall be in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2010 as amended from time to time. Merely fulfilling the minimum qualifications or the eligibility criteria does not entitle an applicant to be necessarily considered or called for interview. • Applications which do not meet the eligibility criteria given in the advertisement and / or are incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected at any stage of recruitment. • In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.
Q : Hardcopy of the application
A : • A hard copy of the online application along with self-attested required documents must reach the Registrar of the concerned University on or before the last date to the address given in the notification (preferably by Registered/Speed Post/In Person). Application received after due date shall not be considered and will summarily be rejected. The University shall not be responsible for postal delay, if any. The name of the post & department & online application registration number must be mentioned on the top of the envelope. • All communication shall be sent to the registered e-mail/provided correspondence address.

Q : Posts with "*" star or any other mark
A : In the case of Posts, if any, in the University advertisement are marked either with * or $ or @ or # or any other, then the Candidates are advised to carefully observe the Qualifications prescribed for the marked post and also the roster point (reservation), before applying for the said post. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ For example, if 5 posts are advertised in 'Computer Science & Engineering' and ONE POST is marked for MCA Department with BC 'E' 'W' reservation, then only MCA with NET/SET/PhD or MTech CSE Candidates belonging to BC - E Women category are only ELIGIBLE for the marked post and others are not eligible. Hence, the Candidates are advised to carefully read the contents of the Notification and satisfy themselves eligible fore applying for a post.
Q : Date & Centre of the Screening Test
A : The date and venue of the on-line screening test will be communicated through the registered e-mail mentioned in the application of the Candidate. Further, the date of screening test will be communicated through the University website. The Candidates are informed to browse the University website for latest updates.
Q : Syllabus of the Screening Test
A : The syllabus of the screening test is hosted on this website.
Q : Scheme of the Screening Test
A : The test will consist of two papers. Paper I, common to all Candidates, will be Teaching and Research Aptitude, while Paper II will be concerned subject. Paper I and Paper II put together are for 300 marks. Paper I will contain 120 objective type questions for 120 marks (each question carries 1 mark). For Paper II, the Candidates have to answer 180 objective type questions for 180 marks (each question carries 1 mark). Duration for Paper I is 2 hours & Paper II duration is 3 hours.
Q : Negative marks in the Screening Test
A : There will be negative marks for each wrong answer. Each wrong answer will carry 1/3 negative mark for the question.
Q : Qualifying marks in the screening test
A : The minimum qualifying marks in the on-line screening test for consideration of an eligible candidate to the oral interview in case of OC category is 40%, BC category is 35% and for SC, ST and PH categories is 30%.
Q : Downloading of the hall tickets for the screening test
A : Hall tickets can be downloaded 7 days before commencement of the on-line screening test.
Q : Oral Interview
A : The Candidates, who qualify in the screening test, shall be called for oral interview according to the terms and conditions notified in the advertisement by the University.
A : As notified in the Notification issued by the concerned University. Last date and starting date of application varies from one University to other. Hence, the Candidates are advised to google notifications on the website
Q : Applying to different Departments
A : When a Candidate is eligible to apply for more than one Department, such Candidates can apply for any number of Departments, he/she is eligible. Screening test shall be conducted for all the Departments applied on different dates/days. For example, if a Candidate is eligible to apply for Assistant Professor post in 'EDUCATION' subject and 'MANAGEMENT' subject and applied for both 'Management' subject and 'Education subject', such Candidates have to appear screening test for both the 'Management' subject and 'Education' subject to be conducted on different days. Hence, the Candidates are advised to apply for any number of posts in any number of Universities through single user id on the website
Q : Single user ID for applying any number of posts
A : Please note that REGISTRATION ON THE WEB PORTAL is only ONE TIME for applying any number of posts in any Departments/Universities. MULTIPLE USER IDS FOR ONE APPLICANT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Hence, the Candidates are informed to apply for any number of posts using single user id only.
A : Candidates are informed to make all changes/updates in their profile before applying for the post. Once the post is applied, the qualifications/publications newly acquired will not be updated in the already applied posts. These additional qualifications will be displayed in the posts later applied.
